Services
The range of services available for new projects or existing buildings includes the following:
- E2M - KJA developed quality assurance (vertical transportation portfolio maintenance supervision) program.
- Architectural Design Development assistance (computer simulations).
- Maintenance, Due Diligence, Condition Survey and Reserve Fund Study inspections.
- Expert Witness Testimony (Ontario and Quebec).
- Forensic Analysis.
- Site surveys to determine the scope of modifications for modernization projects.
- Computer simulations, used to determine vertical transportation system requirements for proposed building designs or to evaluate the quality of service in existing buildings.
- Design information and coordination of work by other trades, including elevator and hoistway sizes, overheads, pit depths, elevator machine room heating/cooling requirements, elevator electrical power requirements, etc.
- Preparation of detailed specifications including preventative maintenance.
- Preparation of tendering documents for competitive tendering.
- Review of tenders, contract negotiations, and recommendations for tender award.
- Review of shop drawings.
- Attendance at site coordination meetings to assist in ensuring timely completion of the work.
- On-site progress inspections, to verify state of completion of work.
- Final acceptance inspections, to verify compliance of the finished product with Specifications and contract documents.
- PPA-5900 (Programmable Performance Analyzer) elevator group monitoring recordings (used to verify correct operation of dispatching logic and circuits).
- Computerized recordings of elevator velocity and acceleration characteristics, and sound level recordings, and graphical printouts of data obtained.
