New elevator design for the Ritz-Carlton

Designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, this prestigious 53-storey building incorporates a condominium sky-lobby above the hotel section of the building.

KJA, now with ATIS, were involved in all aspects of the vertical transportation: from the conceptual design and development, traffic simulations, customized elevator layout options, preparation of technical specifications, detailed contract arrangements, drawing reviews, installation supervision and final commissioning.

Particular attention was devoted to ride quality with noise and vibration levels minimized to reflect the luxurious standards of the condominium and hotel by the Ritz-Carlton. At the time of completion, the elevators had the best ride quality in Canada.
